Nicole Byrne (they/she) is a queer poet based in Portland, Maine. They earned an MFA in Creative Writing from Wichita State University, where they were the first two-time recipient of the Stephen C. Barr Endowed Fellowship in Creative Writing. They currently serve as Assistant Poetry Editor for Split Lip Magazine.
Her work has appeared in Split Lip Magazine, Red Earth Review, Emrys Journal, The Rush, Bright Sleep Magazine, and Spy Kids Review, among others.
They have previously served as the editor for Mikrokosmos/mojo and The Sandy River Review, as well as the digital editor for The Sunflower. They have also worked with the Beloit Poetry Journal, Alice James Books, and Dzanc Books.
